This was definitely meant to be "tongue-in-cheek" sarcastic. It is not a mark against God, whom I believe in wholeheartedly, but rather, against Gov. Perry, who seems to want to mix religion into his politics for pure political points and personal gain, which includes holding a massive evangelical prayer meeting and praying, among other things, for rain. I'm sure God is happy to hear the prayers of a humble servant. But, he does not hear those who stand in the market place and pray vainly so that everyone can here. (In this case, so that everyone will vote for him.) And, maybe this radar image is just an indication of that. Just maybe. Somehow, I don't think God appreciates being used for politics.
